The Kewaunee County Sheriff’s Department prides itself on being proactive in our approach to Law Enforcement services as well as responsive to the needs and concerns of our community.
The Kewaunee County Sheriff’s Department is comprised of numerous divisions, each with their own unique skillset and focus. Our agency provides all correctional and Court Security resources for Kewaunee County along with being the single Public Safety Answering Point for all emergency calls. We are responsible for the dispatching of all Law Enforcement, Fire, and EMS resources throughout the County.
In addition to our Patrol Division, we also have Investigative Division that coordinated any and all major investigations as well as assisting local agencies through their wide breadth of knowledge. We also provide School Liaison Resources to both the Luxemburg/Casco and Algoma School Districts.
Our Administrative Staff is comprised of two exceptional staff who are able to assist with everything from Civil Process to Documentation requests.

Kewaunee County Sheriff’s Department offers a split Correctional Officer and Telecommunicator Position with opportunity for advancement and growth within. You will learn everything from taking emergency phone calls to safely and securely operating a jail. Our schedule offers a great opportunity for work/life balance with every other weekend off. Minimum requirements are a high school diploma/GED, a valid drivers license, no felony convictions and ability to pass a physical, psychological and medical examination. Law Enforcement Standard Board Certification is preferred, but not required. Kewaunee County offers a benefit package with medical, dental and vision insurance as well as holiday pay and the Wisconsin Retirement System.
